As part of required maintenance to reduce technical debt, a minor change to the GetIt system will be deployed on September 26th, 2022 starting at 10:00 AM (ET).


What is GetIt?

  • A link resolver service, and where users may find information about journals and other periodical materials' availability.
  • GetIt is a legacy system, in that it's old and unstable. Searching for resources in the online catalog is preferable to using GetIt

What's Changing?

  • The URLs generated from the "Create a stable link to this page" button will no longer provide shortened URLs. URLs will now be the same as what appears in the browser URL line.
  • Older short URLs will still work

Users Impact: Only NYUNY, NYUSH, NYUAD GetIt


Downtime: None expected, but it can't be ruled out.
