Wed. Feb. 3rd: The Division of Libraries is participating in an Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity, and Accessibility (IDBEA) Day of Learning. For details and how you can participate:
On Wednesday, February 3 the Division of Libraries is participating in an Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity, and Accessibility (IDBEA) Day of Learning during the University’s MLK Week.
We aim to take meaningful steps to eradicate racial injustice and dismantle racism:
• We have to take actions that match our words, otherwise our words are empty;
• We have to work to eradicate all structural and systemic oppression that exist at all levels in our academic disciplines.
This day provides Libraries’ employees, across our global sites, with an opportunity to make time and space to engage more deeply with inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility in our lives and in our work that support the Libraries’ mission of Diversity & Inclusion.
There may be some delay in service response due to the participation in the Day’s activities.
We encourage the NYU Community to join us in our Day of Learning. Please take some time to read, listen, or watch from these suggested resources:
• NYU MLK Week
• NYU Solidarity Week LibGuide
• NYU Office of Global Inclusion’s Anti-Racism Education Resource List (PDF)
• Division of Libraries’ IDBE Steering Committee resource list (Google Doc)
